GIVE A VOICE, CHANGE A LIFE
When a child enters the foster care system, their entire world is turned upside down. They've had to leave behind everything familiar to them - their parents, their home, their school, and possibly even their brothers and sisters. The trauma endured by children going through the court system can have lasting, negative effects on their mental and physical health. A Court Appointed Special Advocate, or CASA, is someone who will be there for the child in a way that no one else can.
Through the month of April, you can Sponsor a Child’s Voice and give them hope!
“Being in foster care is living in a constant state of flux. Homes, schools, families... Everything is always changing, often suddenly and without warning. My only constant was my CASA advocate. Without her, I would have been lost in the system”.
-Melissa, former foster youth
HELP A CHILD BE HEARD
Research has shown that the single most common factor for children who develop resilience and manage to thrive in spite of adversity is the presence of at least one stable, supportive adult in their lives. For children in care, their CASA can be that supportive adult. Through placement changes, school changes, and more, a CASA is a source of stability and strength for children during a tumultuous period in their lives.

We are reaching out to our community to help us recruit, train, and support volunteers to give our children in care the gift of a CASA.
Your gift means that Benton and Lincoln Counties' most vulnerable children will have the powerful voices of CASA volunteers, safe homes and promising futures.

“My CASA taught me how to use my head, how to think about the future. Without him I would be an angry person, probably still fighting for some control over my family's life.
My CASA helped me become the person I am today."
-Josh, former foster youth
