THE GIFT OF AN ADVOCATE
Gift of an Advocate

CASA - Voices for Children is a non-profit organization aimed at providing advocates and other resources for children who have experienced abuse and neglect in Benton and Lincoln Counties.

CASA Story

When a child enters the foster care system, their entire world is turned upside down.  They've had to leave behind everything familiar to them - their parents, their home, their school, and possibly even their brothers and sisters.  The trauma endured by children going through the court system can have lasting, negative effects on their mental and physical health.  A Court Appointed Special Advocate, or CASA, is someone who will be there for the child in a way that no one else can.  They are tirelessly working behind the scenes and guiding these children through the system to ensure that each child's individual needs remain a priority.

Melissa Quote

Research has shown that the single most common factor for children who develop resilience and manage to thrive in spite of adversity is the presence of at least one stable, supportive adult in their lives.  For children in care, their CASA can be that supportive adult.  Through guardianship changes, school changes, and more, a CASA is a source of stability and strength for children during a tumultuous period in their lives.

Our organization's success is made possible by the support of our incredible community.  We rely on the help of gracious individuals, businesses and organizations for monetary and in-kind donations, to support our mission.

We are reaching out to our community to help give our children in care the gift of a CASA.  Your gift means that Benton and Lincoln Counties' most vulnerable children will have the powerful voices of CASA volunteers, safe homes and promising futures.
